AUSTIN, Texas — An Austin restaurant is receiving national recognition as one of the best dining spots in the United States.
On Wednesday, USA Today shared its “2025 Restaurants of the Year” list, with American restaurant Dai Due taking a spot.
Known for using Central Texas ingredients, this North Austin eatery found itself as one of only two Texas locations making the ranks.
The restaurant posted a message of gratitude to its Instagram story on Wednesday, stating, “We are humbled and honored to be on this list! A special thank you to our team, Texas farmers, brewers, winemakers and processors who make what we do possible!”
Located on Manor Road just east of I-35, Dai Due focuses on serving items that are found in the Central Texas area, from potatoes to alcohol.
The restaurant was created in 2006, according to its website. Although the exact menu changes often, sample menu items include the Dry-Aged Longhorn Cheeseburger, Grilled Spicy Aoudad Meatballs and the Texas Cheese Board. The brunch and dinner spot cooks most of its dishes with Texas olive oil, as well as fat from animals such as hogs and chicken.
Dai Due has also received a Bib Gourmand and Michelin Green star rating from the esteemed Michelin Guide.
When it comes to Texas, only one other spot made USA Today’s list: Jiminez y Friends Barbecue y Taqueria in Lubbock.
Across the country, other featured restaurants were located in 27 states, such as California, Oklahoma and Wisconsin.
Dai Due is open for brunch starting at 10 a.m. Fridays-Sundays, and dinner at 5 p.m. from Tuesdays-Saturdays.
