BBC Breakfast’s Jon Kay, who co-hosts the popular news programme with Sally Nugent during weekdays, is used to spending his time on screen interviewing politicians and famous face.
But not only is he a famous face on our screens, he’s also a father-of-three and married to Francesca Kasteliz – who he met at work in the 90s.
The couple first met while working as journalists at BBC Bristol in 1998. Like Jon, Francesca began her career as a trainee news reporter before transitioning to local TV and radio.
She climbed the ranks to become a TV and Radio News Correspondent for BBC National Network News in 1999, after she secured a position as an Assistant News Editor at BBC News, reports the Mirror.
Francesca has an extremely impressive career as she has multiple awards including a Royal Television Society Award for Best News Item during her time at BBC News.
However, she left journalism in 2006 for a career change, becoming a Senior Coach and Trainer at the BBC Academy before being employed as an internal coach for the corporation.

Francesca remains active on Twitter and recently posted a picture from her time as a reporter for the BBC. The photo showed her outside the Conservative Party’s Central Office in a lilac shirt and black jacket, her short, light brown hair styled voluminously and swept to the left side of her face.
The former broadcaster captioned the post: “My son found this old footage on the internet and howled with laughter. Mainly at my hairstyle I think. Well, it was 1999.”

She now works as a TV presenter coach at TV Coach Limited, as well as offering performance coaching for on-air talent to help clients working for places like Channel 4, the BBC and CBBC.
On her website, she wrote: “My particular passion is helping women and young people find their voice on-air and in the TV industry.”
Away from her very impressive career, she and Jon have three children together and a 14-year-old cocker spaniel.
