Jack Fincham opened up about his path to recovery on This Morning after being sentenced to six weeks in jail on January 29 for admitting to being in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog.
The Love Island celebrity has embraced sobriety, having given up drugs, alcohol, and gambling since the end of 2024. He joined the ITV daytime show to take responsibility and look towards a better future.
During an honest conversation, he told hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, “I am at my lowest now,” when asked why he believed he could overcome his addictions this time. He continued: “I have nothing more to lose now.”
The reality star detailed how his substance abuse had escalated to a point where he felt he had no other choice but to change for the sake of his family and friends. By coming on the show, Jack aimed to correct some past mistakes, reports Wales Online.

He revealed to Ben and Cat that during his worst moments, while under the influence, he would recklessly spend “£40,000 on one hand of blackjack,” admitting to squandering close to “£1 million” over time.
Ben, interested in Jack’s commitment to change, pressed him with the question: “Why now though Jack? You’ve been sober since Christmas Day, so we’re just coming into February now, so sort of a month and a half or getting on for two months, so fair play. But why do you think now that it’s going to stick?”

Jack explained: “The reason it’s going to stick now because as I mentioned there’s nothing more to salvage.” The reality star remarked his family and TOWIE partner Chloe Brockett had reached their limit, delivering an ultimatum and stressing this was his “very last chance”, with them asserting “there is no going back now.”
“So you think you’re at your lowest you’ve ever been?” probed the game show host. Cutting in, Jack concurred emphatically, saying: “Yeah, the lowest I’ve ever been in every way.”

The former Love Island champ then outlined reasons why his current situation felt different, noting: “You know I’m 32, and I’d always have this little argument with myself… and again this is an addiction thing, you’ve got two people on your shoulder, one tells you the reason you should do it and the other tells you the reasons that you shouldn’t do it.”
He further illuminated: “And one of those arguments was always but you’re only in your mid twenties but even that arguments gone now.”
In another part of the interview, Jack opened up about his deep feelings for Chloe, revealing that they dreamed together about “getting married” and someday having a “farm”. He expressed optimism that if he could maintain sobriety so that those dreams might become reality.
This Morning airs weekdays on ITV1, from 10am.
