Preliminary reports say both pilots have been rescued.
SAN DIEGO — San Diego Fire Department says a military plane has crashed into the water off of Shelter Island. The call to the fire department came in at 10:16 am.
San Diego Fire has confirmed that two pilots were on board and no other passengers. Preliminary reports reveal that both pilots have been rescued and taken to UCSD Medical Center in Hillcrest. Their condition has not yet been released.
