A whisky from a distillery founded by two Scotland rugby stars is on sale at Ayrshire venues during the Six Nations.
Against The Grain, founded by Scotland internationals Duhan van der Merwe and Pierre Schoeman, have brought their 12-year-old Speyside single malt Hirundine to Buzzworks venues across Scotland.
Ayrshire whisky aficionados will be able to sample the spirit at Buzzworks’ 12 venues across the county – many of which will be showing Scotland’s Six Nations matches.
Venues including The Fox in Troon, Vic’s and the Vine in Prestwick, Lido in Prestwick and Troon, Scotts in Largs and Troon, The Long House in Kilmarnock, The Tree House in Ayr, The Mill House in Stewarton, T-Bar in Ayr, The Corner House in Kilwinning and The Duke in Kilmarnock will all stock the single malt.
Pierre Schoeman, co-founder of Against The Grain, said: “We’re thrilled to blend our passion for rugby and whisky, creating a unique experience that celebrates Scottish heritage.
“Our partnership with Buzzworks and Against The Grain exemplifies our commitment to excellence and innovation, offering fans and guests a taste of Scotland that’s as rich as our game.”

Next up, they face England at Twickenham on February 22 before a home match against Wales on March 8 and a trip to the Stade de France on March 15.
