An Ayrshire spa hotel has been named as ‘Best Hotel Wedding Venue’ in the west of Scotland at the national Confetti Wedding Awards 2025.

SimpsInns’ Gailes Hotel & Spa in Irvine has picked up the top accolade having gone head-to-head with a variety of other hotel wedding venues from around the country.

The venue is part of the family-owned SimpsInns group, which owns and operates a number of hospitality venues around the Ayrshire coast.

Re-launched three years ago after a £250,000 luxurious makeover, The Lagavulin Suite at The Gailes has the flexibility to host smaller, intimate weddings, as well as more extravagant gatherings for up to 250 guests.

The Gailes also offers a purpose-built outdoor Wedding Pavilion located in the hotel’s private gardens, as well as a rooftop conservatory and garden terrace with views over the countryside and beyond towards the Isle of Arran.

A delighted Lee Simpson from SimpsInns, said: “It’s been a fantastic start to the year for SimpsInns. We’re really proud of our entire team, particularly our wedding specialists at The Gailes; who work tirelessly to ensure all our wedding couples have the most amazing day.

“This latest national award is yet further recognition of our reputation for offering one of the most stylish and contemporary wedding venues on the Ayrshire coast.

“We’d also like to congratulate all the other finalists and winners, and thank the team at Confetti for a fantastic awards ceremony.”

Delight The SimpsInns team with their award

The Irvine-based Simpson family is the driving force behind SimpsInns, which owns and operates a collection of award-winning hotels, restaurants, bars, spa, golf, and leisure activities along the Ayrshire coast, including The Potting Shed in Irvine, The Waterside Hotel in West Kilbride and The Loans Inn at Troon.

And this year will see the launch of a new £3million sea view spa and the introduction of 17 additional guest rooms at The Waterside Hotel as well as a major makeover of the restaurant and bar at The Loans Inn.
