Kanye West and Bianca Censori have reportedly ended their relationship, following the rapper’s recent controversial outbursts on social media. It is understood that a verbal agreement has been reached for the Australian architect, 30, to receive a $5million settlement in the wake of their marriage breakdown.
This shocking news comes just 10 days after Bianca’s nude appearance at the Grammys, which raised serious concerns among experts. Prior to their split, it is reported that the model’s friends and family attempted to intervene, concerned about her becoming Kanye’s ‘puppet’.
The couple’s contentious Grammy stunt, which went viral, further alarmed psychologists, who pointed out Bianca’s distressing behaviour as a potential warning sign. At the 67th Grammy Awards, the model wore a completely see-through dress, causing a significant backlash and even risking arrest.
Meanwhile, father-of-four Kanye was fully dressed in black – a typical contrast for the pair. While Kanye was fully clothed, Bianca often appeared in public wearing very little, frequently displaying a vacant or uncomfortable expression.
There have even been previous claims that the Yeezy designer dictates what Bianca wears, eats, when she exercises, and imposes a set of strict rules for his second wife to abide by, reports the Mirror.
Chartered psychologist Dr Louise Goddard-Crawley has suggested that Bianca Censori’s choice of increasingly revealing outfits could indicate an unhealthy dynamic in her relationship. Speaking to the Mirror, she said: “Bianca Censori’s increasingly revealing outfits have sparked debate, with many questioning whether this is an act of self-expression or something more complex. Reports of Kanye West allegedly imposing ‘rules’ on her, alongside concerns from family and friends, raise the possibility that this is more than just a bold fashion choice.”
She further explained: “In relationships where one partner holds significant influence-whether through status, wealth, or sheer personality-the other can find themselves adapting, sometimes unconsciously, to maintain approval.”
Dr Goddard-Crawley also highlighted potential psychological factors at play, including possible control exerted by Kanye over Bianca.
“If Kanye does have a strong say in how Bianca presents herself, dressing in an extreme way might not be a personal choice but a way to maintain his approval or avoid conflict. It’s common in controlling relationships for one person’s preferences to dictate the other’s behaviour, sometimes to the point where their identity changes,” she stated.
“Bianca, previously a relatively private architect, is now in a world where controversy equals currency. Hypersexualisation is a fast track to attention, and given how spectacle-driven Kanye’s career has been, it’s possible she is embracing this as part of a new identity.”
This was the view of a psychologist who suggested that Bianca might feel subconsciously pressured to become Kanye’s next project. “Kanye has a history of styling and reshaping his partners, with Kim Kardashian famously recalling how he revamped her entire wardrobe. If Bianca sees herself as his latest muse, she may feel pressure – conscious or not – to embody his artistic vision, even if it’s at odds with her past self,” the psychologist explained.
However, she also pointed out that there is always the possibility that this was entirely Bianca’s choice. “Some individuals see hypersexualisation as empowerment, a way of rejecting societal norms. The question is whether she would be making the same choices if Kanye weren’t in the picture,” Dr Goddard-Crawley said.
She highlighted red flags in their relationship, including reports of Bianca distancing herself from loved ones, which “can be a sign of an unhealthy dynamic”. Her undergoing a drastic shift in self-presentation also “raises questions about autonomy versus influence”, she added.
Furthermore, Kanye’s history of influence over his partners’ appearances and behaviours suggests a “broader pattern rather than an isolated case”, according to Dr Goddard-Crawley.
The psychologist remarked: “Bianca’s extreme outfits could be her own choice, a performance for attention, or part of a controlling dynamic. The real question is whether she feels free in these choices – or whether they are shaped by a need to maintain Kanye’s approval. Whether this is self-expression, a strategic move, or something more unsettling, only Bianca truly knows.”
Relationship coach Francine Kaye, who penned The Divorce Doctor, expressed concern about Bianca’s independence and decision-making capacity. Speaking with the Mirror, she noted that the Australian model’s body language at the Grammys was detached, prompting grave questions about the actual motivation behind her fashion statement and Kanye’s role in it.
Francine commented: “It’s plausible that Censori’s attire at the Grammys was a mix of personal expression and West’s flair for publicity – something they both undeniably achieved. However, what struck me most was how apprehensive and almost detached she appeared during the photography session as if she were physically present but emotionally elsewhere. This raises concerns about her personal comfort and true autonomy in making such a bold ‘fashion’ choice.”
She added, referencing past allegations against West, “West has faced past allegations of misogynistic attitudes, which adds another layer of discomfort. Was this an empowered statement of self-expression, or was there an element of external pressure? “.
Francine commented on the fine line between bravery and recklessness, saying: “In the end, whether people view it as artistic, exploitative, or simply attention-seeking, everyone is talking about them. And ultimately, that may have been the goal all along.”
Bianca, 18 years Kayne’s junior, tied the knot with him in December 2022, a mere two months following his divorce from Kim Kardashian. Their marriage followed the release of Kayne’s song ‘Censori Overload’, which included the lyrics hinting at their union: “And The Bible said I can’t have any more sex till marriage.”
Since igniting their romance, the couple has become notorious for their daring public displays, with Bianca turning heads with her bold fashion choices such as sheer dresses, ultra-mini skirts, and the ‘world’s smallest bikini’.
However, CCTV footage captured Bianca alone last year dressed in stark contrast to her usual style, donning a baggy tracksuit without her husband by her side. Concerned family members reportedly intervened in November 2023, imploring Bianca to “wake the f**k up”.
A source disclosed to the Mail: “She knows that she has shut out those close to her, and she is also starting to see through the smoky mirrors of her marriage.”
Her father Leo is said to have been eager to address Ye regarding Bianca’s provocative wardrobe choices.
Last year, the couple reportedly split following concerns from Bianca’s friends and family about the way she was dressing in public. The Yeezy designer’s mother, Alexandra, flew from Australia to the US with the intention of ‘saving’ her daughter in March 2023, but Bianca told her family that she had everything ‘under control’, a source told the Mail.
