Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will be spending Valentine’s Day apart this year, and it turns out better think this might mean trouble for the couple’s marriage.

The controversial pair, who are no longer working members of the Royal Family, arrived at the Invictus Games in Whistler, Canada together on Saturday. Meghan attended five days of events alongside her husband.

However, earlier this week, the 43-year-old returned home to California to care for their two children Archie, five, and Lilibet, three. Not long after, Prince Harry, 40, made a heart-breaking admission about the future of the Games.

The news that Harry and Meghan will not mark February 14 together has shocked some fans. And now, betting experts say there’s a big chance that the couple will announce they’ve separated before the end of the year.

The odds of Harry and Meghan confirming that they’ve split up in 2025 are as short as 10/11, according to betideas.com.

Shane Orton, spokesperson for the betting site, said: “Harry and Meghan are one of the most famous couples in the world – but the chances of them splitting up are growing every day.

“For them not to spend Valentine’s Day together is a big red flag. There’s also more and more speculation that Harry will move back to the UK, almost five years since he left for the US.”

Harry and Meghan have been living Stateside for five years, and say they are “grateful” to raise their family overseas. But Harry’s increasingly frequent solo engagements have sparked speculation he may want to seek a different life.

Some royal followers are convinced that the Duke of Sussex misses his former life, although he has been quick to shut down these suggestions.

During a 2023 interview on Good Morning America to promote his memoir Spare, host Michael Strahan asked whether Harry and Meghan would ever reprise their roles as working royals.

The duke’s 11-word-response was clear as he said: “No, I don’t think it is ever going to be possible.”

Nevertheless, the odds of Harry relocating back to Britain sit at 6/4. There is some good news for Meghan in the betting stakes, though, as the chances of her getting a second series of her Netflix show have increased.

They now sit at 4/6, whereas before they were 6/4. Meghan is set to release her new show, With Love, Meghan, on Netflix on March 4, where she plans to mix practical advice with open chats with both old and new friends.

The Suits star will also offer personal tips and tricks, promoting fun over flawlessness, and demonstrating how simple it can be to create beauty, even when it’s unexpected.

Meghan was forced to postpone the series from premiering in January due to the wildfires in Los Angeles.
