Reuben Owen, the 20-year-old star of Channel 5’s Our Yorkshire Farm, has caused a stir among his followers with a heartfelt four-word tribute to his girlfriend, Jessica Ellwood, sparking an outpouring of affection from his fans.
The young TV personality and son to Amanda and Clive Owen took to Instagram to reveal his romantic life update with Jessica, as reported by the Express.
In a Tuesday post, Reuben stated: “Jessica Ellwood keeping me right on last week’s job. #belostwithouther,” showing his appreciation for her support. Jessica reciprocated his sentiments, commenting: “Love helping and spending time with you! Xxx” complete with a love-heart emoji.
Reuben gushed: “Love you to bits x.”
Fans of Reuben congratulated him and expressed their eagerness for new episodes of the show, with comments reported by Yorkshire Live showing their anticipation. The debut of Reuben’s series in 2024 was highly anticipated, serving as a continuation of the narrative from Our Yorkshire Farm. The six-part series focused on Reuben’s journey as he faced the challenges of establishing his own farming business in the remote Yorkshire Dales.
It also introduced viewers to his then-girlfriend, Sarah Dow, and documented their trip to France. However, news of Reuben and Sarah’s split emerged not long after the show aired, although they chose to remain on good terms.
In November, Reuben announced his new relationship with Jessica on social media, sharing images of them enjoying tractor rides, dressing up for parties, and having intimate dinners. His mother Amanda and sister, Raven Owen, showed their approval of his new partner by liking his Instagram posts about Jessica.
As of now, Channel 5 has not confirmed a second season for Reuben: Life In The Dales. Meanwhile, Reuben has returned to television in the new Channel 4 show, Our Farm Next Door: Amanda, Clive and Kids.
This programme follows the family’s endeavour to refurbish a dilapidated barn on their farm, transforming it into a permanent residence in the Yorkshire Dales. It has been officially announced that this series will make a comeback for a second season in 2025.
