Rob Cross was hounded by the Hydro crowd as he lost dramatically to Luke Littler.
The Londoner posted on social-media about a visit to Rangers last year before his outing in Glasgow. Cross had a stadium tour of Ibrox and it was noted by several members of the boisterous crowd who gave him serious stick on his run to the semi-finals. It was the same again this time around against the teenage sensation as he was given major grief throughout his game against The Nuke.
Cross was booed during his walk-on and also given the same treatment as he threw for winning doubles in the contest.
Despite the stick, which was clearly also in support of the superkid, he managed to stave it off and stormed into a 5-1 lead as he looked set to dismiss the World Champion. However, Littler would not be denied. Roared on by the Scottish crowd who chanted his name during the entire match, he stormed back.
Cross missed chances to the delight of the hecklers and, at the same time, the kid was sensational and matched the five-leg run to snatch a triumph out of the jaws of defeat.
