Cops have launched an appeal after teenage boys, as young as 13, were arrested for pyrotechnic offences and assaulting officers at a Scottish Championship game.
During the Dunfermline Athletic versus Raith Rovers match on Saturday, February 1, at East End Park, pyrotechnics were set off and objects were thrown on the pitch.
On the day, a 13-year-old boy was arrested and charged in connection with police assault and possession of pyrotechnics. A 16-year-old male youth was also arrested and charged, while two boys, both aged 13, were charged, all in connection with pyrotechnics offences. Reports have been submitted to the relevant authorities.

Following extensive enquiries, Police Scotland are now appealing for anyone who was at the match and has information on these offences to come forward.
Chief Inspector Christopher Dow said: “We’re carrying out extensive CCTV work in relation to these offences and continue to liaise with the club to identify those involved.
“Football matches should be a safe environment for players and spectators and this type of reckless conduct will not be tolerated.

“I’d ask anyone who was at the game, or has any information, to get in touch. If you have pictures or mobile phone footage from inside the stadium, please review it and bring anything of significance to our attention.
“I would also like to thank the majority of fans for their conduct at matches and assure them we work closely with a range of partners to maintain public safety and minimise disruption.”
