BLUEFIELD, W.Va. – Former Bluefield Beaver and West Virginia defensive lineman Sean Martin took his first steps to being drafted to the NFL Thursday, as he was invited to participate in the NFL Draft combine at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, IN.

Martin had a storied career as a Beaver, winning two state championships, registering 102 tackles, eight sacks, four forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery in high school, and was at a time the No. 1 ranked recruit in West Virginia.

Then up in Morgantown, Martin put up similar stats for the Mountaineers collecting 99 tackles, and 8.5 sacks along with one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.

Martin looks to be the third Bluefield Beaver drafted to the NFL, and the first since 1976.
