A teenager has been charged with murder his father in Arbroath.
Croc Nicoll, of Arbroath, appeared at Forfar sheriff Court on Friday, February 14, charged with murdering his dad Derek Nicoll.
The 19-year-old man made no plea and was remanded in custody. His next court appearance is expected to be within eight days.
Emergency crews rushed to Commerce Street in Arbroath, Angus, after receiving reports of a death within a property at 7.40pm on Tuesday. Police attended the address and a 64-year-old man was found dead.
Images from the scene earlier this week show a large cordon in place and officers in white suits in attendance.
Following the charge, a Police Scotland statement read: “A 19-year-old man has been charged in connection with the death of a man in Arbroath.
“Officers were called to a property in Commerce Street around 7.40pm on Tuesday, 11 February, 2025 following the death of a man, believed to be aged 64.
“Formal identification has still to take place. The 19-year-old was arrested on Tuesday 11 February and is due to appear at Forfar Sheriff Court on Friday, 14 February, 2025.”
