COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM/Gray News) – Columbus police say they are continuing to investigate a drive-by shooting that involved a child at an area McDonald’s last month.
Authorities said the shooting occurred on Jan. 18 just before 11 p.m. in a McDonald’s drive-thru at 4121 Buena Vista Road.
Police reported that a 10-year-old boy sustained a gunshot wound to the head when the vehicle he was in was hit with gunfire.
Fortunately, the boy’s injuries were said to be non-life-threatening, but investigators said they are still searching for the suspected shooter or shooters.
Police said surveillance footage captured multiple vehicles in the area at the time of the shooting.
