An Edinburgh chippy has gone viral on social media after deep frying a mouth-watering ‘hoagie.’
The Dolphin takeaway on the city’s North Junction Street have put their own spin on the traditional sub style sandwich, with viewers sating they can’t wait to get their hands on it.
A hoagie is made using two wraps, cheese, chips, donner meat and garlic sauce which is then deep fried.

In a clip shared on their TikTok, a chip shop worker is approached by a man at the counter who asks for a deep fried hoagie.
Happy to oblige, the staff member then takes the person shooting the video through the steps of making the delicacy.
After deep frying the chunky wrap, the chip shop worker holds up the dish after it has been cut in half to reveal the delicious looking filling.
Many flocked to the comments of the video, which has been viewed over 94,000 times, to share their opinions on the dish.
One person wrote: “Thinking about driving the hour and half down just to get this.”
The Hoagie is the latest food item to get a battering after Scotland became famed for its deep-fried food.
The trend took off with the invention of the deep-fried Mars bar – thought to have been created in 1992 at The Haven Chip Bar in Stonehaven, Scotland.
