Singer Grimes shared an emotional response on Twitter as she learned her eldest son has been attending political events with his father Elon Musk.
Claire Elise Boucher – stage name Grimes – has three children with her ex-partner Elon Musk; X Æ A-Xii, Exa Dark Sideræl Musk and Techno Mechanicus, known as Tau.
Musk, 53, is also father to at least nine other children, and it was recently alleged that he had a ‘secret’ child with a MAGA supporter.
X, the oldest of the three children he shares with the 36-year-old Canadian artist, is the most pictured of their kids, which his ex Grimes is actively trying to avoid, reported The Mirror.
Posting on Twitter (X) on Wednesday, Grimes admitted she wasn’t aware her son had attended the White House and doesn’t approve of the decision to put X in the spotlight.
“Lil X was very polite today! You raised him well. He was so cute when he told DJT ‘please forgive me, I need to pee’,” a Twitter (X) user wrote to Grimes.
On Tuesday, Musk paraded the four-year-old around the White House as he visited to witness President Donald Trump signing an executive order about his role as Department of Government Efficiency co-lead.
Grimes tries to protect her son’s identity and keep his life private, in spite of his famous parents.
She replied to the fan saying: “He should not be in public like this. I did not see this, thank u for alerting me. But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh.”
Grimes has previously stated she doesn’t approve of her son being paraded “around like Michael Jackson’s Chimpanzee”.
She told a fan accusing Musk of that in January: “I have made it clear I do not approve of that in every conceivable way I know how. I am desperate to solve it. It is a personal tragedy to me. But currently I don’t know how to do that.”
Last year, Grimes retweeted her mother’s plea for Elon Musk to allow the pair’s children to visit their dying 93-year-old great-grandmother.
In a thread shared on Twitter (X) last July, Grimes’ mother Sandy Garossino begged the multi-billionaire to let her grandchildren see her mother who is under palliative care, as her mother “yearns to see and hold Claire’s children one last time.”
She claimed they were meant to visit for her birthday but “those hopes were crushed when the trip was cancelled.”
She added: “I am alarmed to learn that the children cannot come as you are withholding them and their needed passport documents from Claire.
“It was even more troubling to see you and X on television at the Olympics in Paris yesterday, after your DC trip earlier in the week. “
She continued: “Where are the other children, and with whom? They are scheduled to be with their mother. They were expected here in Canada.
“I write with a grandmother’s plea, asking you to honour your agreement, return the children, and provide the documents they need to see their great grandmother before she passes.”
Sandy continued: “Some moments in life last forever, and we get no second chances. Family is priceless. Please Elon, I beg you. This is so painful for my mother, and concerning for the kids. Time is of the essence now.”
