Scots Doctor Who star David Tennant returns to screens as the host of the BAFTA Film Awards tonight.
The Bathgate-born star, 53, has appeared in a raft of the biggest shows on the small screen over the years – including Broadchurch and Good Omens – as well as doing a turn in Hollywood in the likes of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
That’s not to mention his standout performance in the recent smash hit Disney+ adaptation of Jilly Cooper’s novel, Rivals. Tennant plays Lord Tony Baddingham, the cold-hearted controller of the TV network Corinium, and fans are on the edge of their seats to see if he’ll survive to series two after THAT explosive ending…
But away from his day job, Tennant leads a quiet and idyllic family life with his wife, English actress Georgia Moffett, daughter of Sandra Dickinson and Fifth Doctor, BBC legend Peter Davison.
The couple, along with their five children, have a home in the upscale London suburb of Chiswick, and often share lighthearted snapshots of their daily lives on social media.
David met Georgia under rather unusual circumstances, as she once played his daughter, Jenny, on Doctor Who.
In 2008, David and Georgia appeared on-screen together in the Doctor Who episode entitled The Doctor’s Daughter, where she portrayed the central character’s artificially created adult daughter.
The pair started dating after meeting on set and got married in a low-key ceremony in 2011, with a close friend telling members of the press at the time: “David and Georgia are madly in love. They have tried to keep everything quiet and the wedding is for family and closest friends only.”
Georgia first made her TV debut in 1999 when she was aged just 15, appearing as Nicki Davey in Peak Practice.
She is probably best known for her recurring role as Abigail Nixon in The Bill, which she held from 2007 to 2009.
The pair share 22-year-old House of the Dragons co-star Ty, from a previous relationship of Georgia’s and who David adopted as his own, as well as Olive, 13, Wilfred, 11, Doris, eight, and Birdie, four.
The family have a home in the upscale London suburb of Chiswick, and often share lighthearted snapshots of their daily lives on social media from the upscale area of West London. Situated beside the River Thames, the area is famous for tree-lined avenues and a quintessentially “villagey” atmosphere.

According to Rightmove, the overall average sales price for property in the area over the last year was £987,656.
Terraced properties sold for an average of £1,171,038, while semi-detached properties fetched a staggering £2,011,286. Flats, however, were slightly more affordable, selling for an average price of £544,010.
This tranquil corner of London is not only home to the Tennants. Rumours suggest that fellow ‘Chiswickites’ include Ant and Dec, Kate Beckinsale, Vanessa Redgrave, Roger Daltrey and Nigel Havers.
