PRINCETON, W.Va. – A Bluefield local who’s been furthering his education in Tennessee has been making trips back home on the weekends to help out a Princeton veterinary clinic.
Dr. Joshua Burnette is a student at the University of Tennessee, pursuing his PhD. On the weekends, however, he travels home with a dual purpose: to see family and perform complex and specialty surgeries on animals.
The owner of Happy Tails said it’s not always easy to get pets in need of specific surgeries the help they require, so having Dr. Burnette is a weight off their shoulders.
As for Dr. Burnette’s future plans, he explained that he’s keeping his gaze local.
