Conor Maynard has provided his followers with an update on his injuries after being rushed to hospital by ambulance over the weekend. The 32 year old singer-songwriter sustained injuries from a fall down stairs on Sunday, February 16.

His health scare followed last year’s revelation that he had fathered a child with Charlotte Chilton from The Traitors. Despite allegedly confessing to not feeling ready for fatherhood, he found himself at the centre of a paternity issue when Charlotte publicly claimed to Metro Online: “I’m doing this on my own. I don’t need him. I don’t need his money. I would only want him involved if he wanted to be.”

Putting aside his personal difficulties, Maynard recently released his new, unapologetically explicit single ‘Hawk Tuah’, which has sparked debate among his Instagram audience, attracting over 1,400 comments and splitting opinions with its frank sexual content.

On Sunday, February 16, Conor gave fans a glimpse into his hospital experience through a sequence of Instagram stories, sharing footage of his transport to the hospital while strapped into a stretcher, captioning the initial post as ‘Sunday funday’.

Later in the day, he provided an update for his fans, stating: “I’m doing ok guys. You’re not allowed to laugh…. but I fell down the stairs. But nothing too serious, you can all breathe now.”

In December of the previous year, Conor reached out to his followers about his health, seeking advice on taking Diazepam, a prescription-only drug typically used to treat anxiety disorders, insomnia, seizures, and the effects of drug and alcohol withdrawal.

He posted a message written in white text on a black background that read: “Has anyone on here ever been prescribed Diazepam, but their anxiety is so bad that they’re literally too anxious to actually take it? Please reach out if you’ve ever been in this position. Can’t believe I’m posting this, but at this point, I’m not sure what else to do. Sorry I haven’t posted anything in over a month. This post kinda alludes to why.”
