Emmerdale fans have called out a mistake as the soap broadcasted a series of dramatic stunt scenes.

The girls’ limo veered off to dodge a staggering Noah and ended up on the ice, putting everyone inside at risk.

Charity was the first to climb out and navigated the icy lake safely, followed by Chas Dingle. Dr Liam Cavanagh managed to get across but later collapsed due to his head injury, while Vanessa also emerged unscathed.

However, the outcomes for most of the others remain uncertain, with Amy plunging into the water and Suzy found lifeless in the limo.

Yet, as the episodes went live, show experts were quick to spot an error. The Emmerdale Instagram page shared some behind-the-scenes shots of the fatal crash and the methods used to create it, reports the Mirror.

In fact, Caleb actor Will Ash revealed the secret behind the ice. Speaking exclusively to the Mirror, Will revealed: “This incredible icy lake was made out of wax. It was a cold frosty night and you’ve got this huge limousine sunk into it. When you’re walking on the wax, it felt like ice and you worried you were going to fall in.”

“Everyone was walking so carefully. They had this huge crane because they had to lower the limo into this hole they had made because it wasn’t allowed to sit in the wax. It was pretty spectacular!”

As behind-the-scenes clips were shared, fans couldn’t help but notice a blunder.

One viewer commented: “I want to know why they were walking across the ice, in HEELS, instead of crawling across,” while another pointed out: “they were going on a night out for a pub crawl, doesn’t mean they couldn’t have taken them off before walking on the ice first though, that’s soap’s for you though haha.”

A third fan remarked: “Heels maybe weren’t a good idea girls but brilliant episode tonight,” and yet another chimed in: “I’d have been crawling rather than walking and I’d have taken my shoes off (but pushed them ahead of me to put back on) as if I fell through the ice the weight of them plus them filling with water would drag me further down.”

The stunt featured in the episode received plenty of love from viewers, who turned to social media to extol the sensational sequence. “What a gripping, nail biting episode. Well done everyone at Emmerdale. So well put together,” praised one fan, as another echoed: “Great episode! Well done Emmerdale and all the crew and cast.”
