Inspectors have noted “good progress” at a Stewartry primary school.

Staff from Education Scotland highlighted four areas for improvement at Dalbeattie Primary and the school’s nursery class following a visit in 2023.

Following a return inspection, they have revealed they are happy with steps taken to address the issues raised.

They wanted “rigorous approaches to monitoring and evaluating” the work of children” and noted staff had made “strong progress” towards tackling this.
