Harris Dickinson, star of the erotic thriller Babygirl, has shared a peculiar comment from a fan that left him lost for words. The 28 year old actor is set to feature on the upcoming episode of The Jonathan Ross show, airing this Saturday (February 22) on ITV1.
During his appearance alongside TV chef Gordon Ramsey and Olympic champion Keeley Hodgkinson, Harris will discuss his career trajectory and some odd encounters.
When asked by Jonathan if he always aspired to be an actor, Harris confessed: “I did a few different things. I really loved it as a kid but I didn’t know it was going to be a job. I was a bin man for a bit which I liked.”

He also expressed a desire for more control over certain aspects of his acting career. Discussing his frustrations, he said to Jonathan: ” I feel like as actors though, do you ever feel like a performing monkey? Putting on what you’re told to wear. I have a problem being told what to wear – I’m in the wrong job I think. On set sometimes, I struggle with it. I really want to have control over the costumes, sometimes.”
The conversation soon shifts to his role in Babygirl, where Harris starred opposite Nicole Kidman. In the film, Kidman’s character, a high-powered CEO, risks her career and family when she embarks on a passionate affair with her much younger intern, played by Harris, reports the Mirror.
The London-born actor recounted the time his mother watched his film, saying: “My mum thought it was going to be a really raunchy film but it’s not. She came to a screening and I did a Q&A afterwards. I was backstage, I didn’t sit and watch it with her!” However, some of the movie’s more risqué scenes have led to some unexpected interactions.

He revealed: “In America after the film came out we had some funny chats with people – the older generation women tend to be a bit more forthcoming. A woman came up to me and she tickled me and said ‘Honey, I can’t wait to get home and use that vibrator’. What do you say to that?”
Harris also shared an unusual cinema experience, recounting: “I went to watch a film at a cinema in London. It was a long film with a mate, I took my shoes off – it felt acceptable. I was fiddling with the seat in front of me and I thought it was the seat. About 25 mins in, I started to feel like this isn’t a seat, this is a head. It was a human head, a bald head. I looked over and there was a man laying down there. As I saw him, he sort of scurried away.”
The Jonathan Ross Show airs Saturday, 9.30pm on ITV1 and streaming on ITVX.
