The Turkish giants played out a 2-2 draw against the Dutch side in Istanbul but have crashed out of the Europa League at the knockout round play-off stage after suffering a heavy 4-1 defeat in Alkmaar in the first leg last week. Parkhead punters have not been shy in voicing their support of the Middle-Eastern country in recent years, with the ongoing historical conflict with Israel showing no signs of subsiding. Leading Celtic fan group The Green Brigade organised a huge protest calling for FIFA and UEFA to ‘show Israel the Red Card’ during their Champions League showdown with Bayern Munich at Parkhead last week.
