Police in Perth are appealing for information on a “possible assault” that took place this week.

Officers in Perth are appealing for information after they received a report of what they describe as a “possible assault” in the George Street area of Perth city centre on Wednesday at around 1.20pm.

A man and a woman were seen having an altercation, but it remains unknown if anyone was injured in the incident.

The woman is described as white, around 5-feet 2-inches tall, with blond hair and she was wearing a long camouflage coat and a scarf.

The man is described as around 5-feet 10-inches tall, with brown hair and a dark complexion, and a slight moustache. He was wearing a navy puffer style coat and dark skinny jogging bottoms.

They both spoke with Eastern European accents.

Police Constable Leanne Ritchie said: “We need to check that those involved in this altercation are safe and well.

“We are asking the man and woman or anyone who saw what happened to get in touch.”

Anyone with information is urged to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting the incident number 1514 of Wednesday, February 19.
