National Margarita Day is Saturday, Feb. 22, and several restaurants and bars in and around New York City have deals for the special day.

The day celebrating Jimmy Buffett’s favorite tequila-based cocktail actually always falls on Feb. 22, so this year’s Saturday celebration is particularly fortuitous for anyone looking for an excuse to enjoy a margarita, or perhaps several.

Here are some places in the New York area offering deals. This is not a comprehensive list, and sadly, both Chili’s locations in Manhattan have permanently closed, so it will not be included here.

Añejo, Midtown Manhattan

The margaritas at Añejo are considered some of the best in the city, but a glass will cost only $7 all day on Saturday. According to the online menu, they usually cost $15.

Mad Dog & Beans, Midtown and Financial District

Both Mad Dog & Beans locations in Manhattan will be hosting National Margarita Day special events from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday. The events include free tequila tastings, giant margarita towers and unspecified “prizes & giveaways.”

Don Pancho Villa, Williamsburg

Margaritas at Don Pancho Villa in Brooklyn usually cost $13, but on Saturday from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., they will be half-off to celebrate the “holiday.”

Maya, Upper East Side

Everyone’s idea of a National Margarita Day deal is different. At Maya in Lenox Hill, margaritas usually cost between $15 and $17, but on Saturday they’ll be available for $10 all day.

Margaritaville, Times Square

For anyone searching for an extremely generic but no doubt lively version of National Margarita Day, traditional margaritas will be available for $7 a piece at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville in Times Square.

Bahama Breeze, New Jersey

The nationwide chain Bahama Breeze is offering one of the best deals on National Margarita Day, with traditional margaritas available for $2.22. However, there are no Bahama Breeze locations inside the five boroughs. Anyone hoping to score a truly great deal will need to travel to Wayne, Paramus or Woodbridge in New Jersey.
