Five Scottish councils confirmed council tax rises on Thursday – with one doing so earlier in the week.
John Swinney’s plea for limited hikes fell on deaf ears as all of them increased rates by at least 7.5 per cent.
This meant that council tax rises were the highest they had been for two decades.
This is only the start, as 26 councils will confirm their rates in the coming weeks.
Here is how much more people will pay in each of the councils which have confirmed so far.
