WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (WPBF) – A former restaurant manager in Florida is facing charges after police said she threw hot grease on customers during a dispute.

The incident was caught on surveillance video.

Police said the video from Jan. 28 shows Carnael Irene and a customer having what appears to be a heated conversation at the carryout line.

Behind Irene is another employee who is seen trying to get her attention.

As the video continues, the conversation heats up.

Irene holds her hand to her ear while she moves closer and closer to the window.

Another customer then steps in as an employee starts pulling Irene back to keep the situation from escalating.

However, their efforts don’t work.

Police said Irene eventually takes a squirt bottle of ranch dressing and squirts it on the two victims, and it didn’t end with ranch.

Irene leaves the scene and returns with a metal container, which is when police said she threw hot grease at the customers.

Police said she did hit the customers, one of them a minor, in the legs, leaving them with burns on their skin.

Officials said Irene was booked in the St. Lucie County Jail.

Port St. Lucie Police said these kinds of calls are not common for them, but people may be seeing them more.

Irene faces charges of child abuse and battery.
