Two people have been arrested in connection with the death of a Scottish businessman whose body was found dumped in Kenya.
Campbell Scott vanished from his five-star hotel in Nairobi on Sunday, February 16. The 58-year-old, from Dunfermline in Fife, was reported missing after leaving the JW Marriott hotel for a walk where he was staying with work colleagues for a conference.
Earlier today we reported that the body of a “strangled man” has been discovered in a “sack” during searches in the Makongo forest, around 60 miles from Nairobi, on Saturday. Now, his employer Fico have confirmed that that Mr Scott had been identified by local police.
A taxi driver and nightclub waiter are understood to have been arrested in connection with his death.
Mr Scott is understood to have visited a number of pubs and clubs before he disappeared.
Mr Scott was a senior director at credit scoring firm Fico. He had worked for the company since 2014. They said they were “devastated” by the news.
“FICO can confirm that Nairobi police have identified the body of Campbell Scott, a FICO employee,” a spokesperson said. “Campbell went missing last Sunday while on a business trip to Nairobi. We are not sharing further details, as the investigation is in the hands of the police.

“We are devastated by this tragic news. Campbell was a leader in our international Scores business. He joined FICO in 2014 and was instrumental in introducing Scores to new markets and growing our business with existing partnerships. We mourn his passing and will miss his humour and kindness.
“Our thoughts are with Campbell’s family and friends.”
The Scot joined Fico in 2014 from Experian UK. He is described as being responsible for global regulatory and compliance product management, based at the company’s London office, according to his professional profile.
He studied at Woodmill High School in Dunfermline and Kirkcaldy Technical College.
The Foreign Office said: “We are supporting the family of a British man reported missing in Kenya and are in contact with the local authorities.”
