A road crash has closed a busy Ayrshire road in the run up to rush hour this afternoon (Monday, February 24).
Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash on the A737 near to the A78 Eglinton Interchange between Irvine and Kilwinning at around 3.10pm.
Police have asked that motorists avoid the area and use an alternative route.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “The A737 at the A78, Eglington roundabout, is closed due to a road crash reported around 3.10pm on Monday, February 24.
“Motorists are advised to avoid the area and use an alternative route.”
