The groundbreaking New York rap group Wu-Tang Clan announced their “final tour” on Monday, with stops at Madison Square Garden and the Prudential Center.
Tickets for “Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber” will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.. There is no presale option.
Wu-Tang Clan — RZA, GZA, Inspectah Deck, U-God, Ghostface Killah, Method Man, Raekwon, Masta Killa and Cappadonna — performed numerous shows last year as part of a Las Vegas residency. This summer’s tour will take them across the country, though RZA implied it could go further.
“Wu-Tang Clan has shown the world many chambers throughout our career; this tour is called The Final Chamber,” RZA said in a statement. “This is a special moment for me and all my Wu brothers to run around the globe together one more time and spread the Wu swag, music and culture.”
The tour kicks off on June 6 in Baltimore. Wu-Tang clan will play Madison Square Garden on July 16, the Prudential Center in Newark on July 17 and conclude the tour at Philadelphia’s Wells Fargo Center on July 18.
Hip-hop duo Run the Jewels (Killer Mike and producer El-P) will be the opening act for the entire tour.
“On this tour we’re playing songs we’ve never played before to our audience,” RZA said, “and me and our production team have designed a Wu-Tang show unlike anything you’ve ever seen.”
