(CNN) – Apple has announced plans to invest $500 billion in the U.S. over the next four years.
The tech company said the investment will create 20,000 jobs.
Monday’s announcement comes weeks after President Donald Trump imposed a 10% tariff on all imports from China.
Most of Apple’s iPhones are manufactured in China.
The multi-billion dollar investment includes building a server manufacturing facility in Houston as well as expanding data center operations in five states.
Apple’s CEO Tim Cook met with Trump last week.
The president hinted at the investment following that meeting.
