This Morning presenter Vanessa Feltz has been praised by viewers for her bravery after undergoing a live mammogram on the show.

During Monday’s episode, hosts Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley revealed that Vanessa would be having the breast cancer screening test and sharing her experience with viewers.

Vanessa documented the procedure and spoke to the camera the whole way through, urging viewers not to miss their appointment.

Fans quickly took to social media to express their admiration, with one writing: “Fair play to Vanessa! ! ! Love that woman #ThisMorning.”

Another viewer praised her for tackling a serious issue, saying: “A big cheer for the great Vanessa Phelps for having a mammogram live on air, brilliant. She’s smiling but it’s a brave thing to do live #ThisMorning.”

Others commended her for highlighting the importance of the test, with one saying: “Jokes aside, fair play to Vanessa for doing this, it’s a little uncomfortable (literally for a few seconds) but not painful, and can save your life! #ThisMorning.”

Vanessa has spent years encouraging others to check themselves for cancer symptoms after opening up about her mother’s cancer diagnosis back in 2023.

The TV presenter’s mother died aged 57 in 1995 after being diagnosed with an aggressive form of endometrial cancer, but revealed that it was spotted too late by doctors.

This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV and ITVX
