Philippe Clement has been pictured at the Rangers training centre – the morning AFTER he was sacked.

The Belgian was pictured arriving at Auchenhowie before he was snapped departing alongside trusted lieutenant Stephan Van Der Heyden shortly after. Interest was piqued when chairman Fraser Thornton and Chief Financial Officer James Taylor were pictured arriving at the training base. Clement was then snapped shortly after and it was a case of sorting his Rangers goodbyes and clearing out his desk amid the hasty nature of his departure on Sunday night.

The players are also on the training ground preparing for the trip to Kilmarnock on Wednesday night, Eyes on the ground revealed it was a quick-fire visit from the now former manager. It was a final farewell for the former boss after the club decided to cut ties last night. They released a short statement after a day of meetings. It read: “Rangers Football Club can confirm it has tonight parted company with men’s first-team manager, Philippe Clement. The club would like to put on record their sincere thanks to Philippe for his hard work and dedication during his spell in charge. A further update from the club will follow in due course..”
