A teenager has admitted murdering his mum, sister and brother at their family home.

Nicholas Prosper pleaded guilty to three counts of murder at Luton Crown Court on Monday. The Mirror reports that the 19-year-old killer also admitted purchasing a shotgun without a certificate, possession of a shotgun with intent to endanger life and possession of a kitchen knife in a public place.

It comes after members of his family were found dead at a flat in Leabank on September 13 last year. Emergency services rushed to the property after gunshots were heard from inside.

His mother Juliana Falcon, 48, sister Giselle Prosper, 13, and his brother Kyle Prosper, 16, were found injured. All three sadly died at the scene.

A friend of Juliana previously described her as a loving mother who “lived for her children” and said she was “a positive person who will be so terribly missed”. Giselle’s school paid tribute to the teenager, describing her as a “model pupil” and a “beautiful soul”.

Kyle’s school, Cardinal Newman Catholic School, paid tribute at the time and said: “We are shocked by the tragic incident that occurred on Friday in our local community and deeply saddened by the loss of one of our own students, Kyle Prosper. This is devastating news to all those who knew and loved Kyle and it will take some time to come to terms with the profound sense of loss.”

Sentencing will take place on March 5. Prosper will remain in custody.
