Two men have been arrested in connection with drugs offences after police recovered more than £1000 worth of cocaine from a car.
Plain clothed police officers stopped a “suspicious” vehicle in Greenhills, East Kilbride at around 8pm on Tuesday, February 18.
A search was carried out and 25 snap bags of cocaine with an estimated street value of £1060 was found along with £780 in cash.
Two men, aged 26, and 29, were arrested on drugs offences and reported to the Procurator Fiscal.
A police spokesman said: “About 8pm on Tuesday, February 18 plain clothes officers observed a suspicious vehicle in Greenhills, East Kilbride. They stopped the vehicle a short distance away and carried out a search of the male driver, male passenger and the vehicle.
“They recovered £780 in cash and 25 snap bags of cocaine with an estimated street value of £1060.
“The 26-year-old male driver and 29-year-old male passenger were both arrested for drugs offences and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
