The victim has filed a police report Saturday and is waiting for investigators to follow up.

SAN ANTONIO — A San Antonio woman is hoping police can catch up to a driver she said slashed her tire during a road rage incident in the Thousand Oaks area Saturday afternoon.

Fortunately, another driver behind them caught the act on camera and shared the videos with her.

Bryttani Handt said on Saturday, she was running errands with her two young children when she noticed the agitated driver.

“I even said to my kids, ‘This guy’s going to be a problem, I can already feel it,’” Handt said.

She said she was turning onto Henderson Pass from Golden Canyon Road and was merging into one lane.

“The car in front of him was going a normal pace but he was right on top of him when we merged, I let the lady go ahead of me and he was right next to me trying to squeeze also,” she said.

She said she got in front of the driver and he reacted immediately. She said another driver following them caught on quickly and started filming.

“He’s just swerving trying to find a way to get around me, to get in front of me and I knew he was going to retaliate somehow,” Handt said.

She said she kept driving at the speed limit, unsure of what exactly to do. She said when they approached a red light, the situation escalated.

“He got into the left turn lane at Turkey Point, got out of his car, very quick went straight to my back left tire, stabbed it and then said ‘F*** you,’ got in his car and sped through the red light and just left,” Handt said.

Handt said at that moment, she grabbed her phone and captured him running the red light, all while her daughter was crying.

“My daughter was very, very scared,” Handt said.

However, with the help of the eyewitness, Handt was able to show police exactly what happened. She said investigators arrived quickly and told her the driver was in a rental car.

“For him to hop out of his car and do that so quickly without a second thought about it, who knows what else he could have done or what could have happened,” Handt said. “I feel like this is one of the better scenarios as to what could have happened.”

She said she is sharing the videos not only to help catch the suspect but to spread an important message to all drivers.

“Their karma will come to them,” Handt said. “Just try to stay in your own lane, metaphorically speaking and keep to yourself.”

San Antonio Police confirmed they are investigating. However, Handt said she is still waiting for a follow up call with a detective.
