SOUTH MIAMI, Fla. (WPLG) – Police in South Miami, Florida, arrested a man who is now being held without bond on two frightening charges.
Brian Gamboa is accused of brazenly trying to kidnap two females in the same day.
Surveillance cameras outside of a South Miami hospital entrance captured the moments a woman, who was visiting a patient, was attacked by a man. She said he tried to grab her, threw her to the ground and told her to be quiet as he tried to take her.
“According to the victim, he has some zip ties on him as well,” South Miami Police Sgt. Fernando Bosch said.

In the video, police said the 38-year-old victim convinced the man to release her.
That’s when she could be seen making her way inside of the hospital, where she called for help.
“She ran to an office, where the doctor came out,” Bosch said.
That woman’s attacker was seen getting into his car and taking off, but he didn’t get far.
Police later caught up to the 32-year-old Gamboa less than a half-hour later.
Officers said he tried the same thing with a 16-year-old girl earlier.
She said she was walking alone near Southwest 86th Street and 62nd Avenue just after 11 a.m. Wednesday night when Gamboa grabbed her.
“I was on the phone with my friends walking and then a car pulled up, 10 feet in front of me, about 6 foot, and then some guy came out and tried to grab me,” the teen victim described.
Fortunately, that teen said she was able to fight him off and get away.
“He tried pushing me to the ground and I got back up as quickly as possible. That’s why my knees are messed up,” the teen added.
Police arrested Gamboa hours later. His apartment is across the street from the hospital and a block away from the police station.
Residents at the complex were shocked to hear it was their neighbor who is accused of the horrific crimes.
“It’s disgusting and it is terrible to think that he was right here and we had no idea,” the resident said.
Another detail police revealed was disturbing; the sergeant said several witnesses saw the attempted kidnapping of the teen, but no one intervened or called police.
