Offering nine pre-set programmes at the touch of a button, this gadget can “cook pretty much everything” from chicken and steak to vegetables and fish. Using 3D heat circulation technology, food is cooked up to 40 percent faster than it would be than the traditional oven. Cookwise also claims that it can save up to 70 percent on energy, meaning it can save you both time and money in the kitchen.

Currently rated 4.6 stars on the Amazon website, the Cookwise Air Fryer has amassed almost 4,000 five-star reviews from users who say it cooks food “perfectly” and that it has been in “constant use” since they bought it.

One five-star review read: “I’m so happy with this air fryer. I had thought about getting the Ninja because it’s supposedly trendy but they are so expensive and I’m not into paying extra just because of a brand name. The instructions for this little beauty are so easy to follow and it saves such a lot of time and money using this instead of my cooker.

“I even tried cooking a pie as an experiment because I expected it to be soggy if I’m honest but it came out beautifully cooked and the pastry was a nice crispy golden brown. I loved this so much I recommended it to my mum and she loves it just as much as I do. Don’t hesitate to get this, I highly recommend it.”

Someone else said: “I nearly bought a Ninja but as this was considerably cheaper and I wasn’t sure whether its use would justify the price, I went for this one. I can only say that it’s in constant use, it’s versatile and reliable and I would highly recommend it.”

While another five-star review read: “First air fryer owned. Found it easy to use, easy to clean. Saves time and energy and cooks the food perfectly.”

Not everyone has found the air fryer easy to use, as one three-star review read: “Had this for six months and can’t use the programs. Very difficult to set up.”
