SALT LAKE CITY (KSTU) – Normally, flights are packed to the brim with travelers.

Sometimes, airlines even try to get people to cancel their travel plans, but it was the complete opposite for two friends in Salt Lake City.

It was the typical procedure: check luggage, go through security and wait at the gate.

When it was time to board the flight though, the only ones to stand up were Natalie Wolfley and Savannah Sargent.

They didn’t realize how lucky they were about to be.

“The guy was talking to us and he was like, ‘Oh, you guys have a chartered plane,’” Sargent said. “And we were like, ‘Haha, that’s so funny.’”

“Then, he turned the screen around and showed us there’s 175 seats, and then you see the No. 2, like there’s two seats taken on the whole flight,” Wolfley added.

The two were heading to Phoenix to celebrate Sargent’s bridal shower.

Their own personal Southwest flight was like an early wedding present.

“We were just giddy, like so excited,” Wolfley remembered. “We were like VIP. This is our plane.”

On Cloud Nine, they posted their experience to social media.

Their TikTok has racked up more than 1.5 million views.

“Within like an hour, I just saw the views going up, like this is a big deal. This is not normal,” Wolfley said.

While that flight had them soaring high all weekend, they can’t say the same about their flight back.

“Oh my gosh, I had a middle seat! I was like, ‘Wow, this is such a change,” Wolfley said.

While this may not happen again for them anytime soon, their first-class experience is definitely worth remembering.
