Taking to Instagram recently, the 54 year-old shared her latest “very comfortable” ensemble that she wore to a lengthy hairdresser trip – and you can bag it from the high street.
After some digging online, we can confirm that Amanda’s airy outfit was made up of River Island’s Petite Grey Wide Leg Trousers and the Petite Grey Oversized Long Sleeve Shirt. Priced at £45 each, it means you can recreate the casual, yet still smart, outfit for under £100.

We have also found that both the shirt and trousers are also available in a regular fit for shoppers who don’t fit petite. While the trousers are still fully in stock, the shirt has sold out in sizes eight to 10.
Speaking of her outfit choice, the Heart FM host said: “I am wearing this very comfortable, very lovely outfit from River Island.
She further said of her ensemble choice: “It doesn’t crease up. It’s oversized. It’s got the double cuffs I always love. It’s extraordinarily well made. Nice thick cotton, perfect for travelling. Perfect with a heel or a trainer.”
It seems many of the beloved presenter’s fans were on board, as they rushed to gush over her how much they loved her “very stylish” outfit choice. One fan praised: “Loveee it.”
A second Instagram user gushed: “love this on you.” While someone said of the ensemble: “Love this look, very stylish.” Another simply said: “Fabulous outfit Amanda x.”
When we had a look on the River Island website, both the oversized shirt and wide leg trousers were available to buy in sizes four through to 16. However, the fashion firm advises they are “selling fast”, so you might need to act fast to avoid disappointment.
The £45 oversized shirt itself has been crafted from a lightweight, airy material that will come in handy when the temperatures rise. Its oversized fit means that it can be worn well on its own, or you can layer it on days that are a little bit chillier.
It features a smart revere collar neckline long sleeves, a button-up fastening and chic button cuffs. There’s also a handy chest pocket along the front for a practical touch.
Meanwhile, the trousers themselves boast the trendy wide-leg design that is currently ‘in’ for spring 2025. The smart design is finished with a comfy and flattering elasticated waistband, alongside side slip pockets and belt loops.
It is worth noting that River Island’s website does not offer official reviews from shoppers who have bought their items. However, similar to Amanda’s advice, the main positive we can think of is the versatility this outfit offers.
Whether dressing up or down, it offers a smart, casual look for both daytime and evening events, while also being suitable for office wear. Either pair the shirt and trousers together to recreate Amanda’s look, or you can wear them on their own with a variety of other wardrobe items.
