MEXIA, Texas — Mexia Independent School District confirmed today that one case of measles has been reported within the district.
In a message to the school community, Superintendent Ryder Appleton stated that, for privacy reasons, additional details about the case cannot be released at this time. However, district officials are working closely with the Texas Department of Health and Human Services to receive guidance on necessary precautions and procedures, including sanitization efforts.
MISD assured the public that it will continue to provide updates and resources as they become available.
