Police said a woman was holding a knife when a man shot her.
AUSTIN, Texas — A woman was shot outside of a gym on Thursday morning in northeast Austin, according to police.
The Austin Police Department (APD) said the woman was seen with a knife in the parking lot near Fitness Connection, located at 12901 N Interstate Hwy 35, suite 900.
Police said a man then shot the woman in the parking lot, and one person was detained.
The gym temporarily closed on Thursday morning, but has since reopened.
