The bill seeks to bolster technology and resources at the U.S.- Mexico border to prevent fentanyl from entering the country. Artificial Intelligence is suggested technology to be “enhanced” and used for inspections.
“Fentanyl is destroying families in West Virginia and across America, and we absolutely need to improve our ability to stop it at the border. By beefing up the technology used to inspect what comes across the border, we help keep Americans safe. This bill is a solid step toward securing our border and keeping dangerous fentanyl out of our country,” said Senator Justice.
