Blake Lively and Sarah Michelle Gellar are among those remembering the “deeply sensitive” Michelle Trachtenberg, who was found dead in her New York City apartment Wednesday at age 39.
Lively, 37, who acted opposite the late Trachtenberg on “Gossip Girl,” shared a photo from the day they met as part of a tribute on her Instagram Story Wednesday night.
“She was electricity,” wrote Lively. “Everything she did, she did 200%. … She was fiercely loyal to her friends and brave for those she loved, she was big and bold and distinctly herself.”
The “Harriet the Spy” star “was a kind person, through and through,” said Lively. “The world lost a deeply sensitive and good person in Michelle.”
Cattrall, 68, who acted alongside Trachtenberg in Disney’s film “Ice Princess,” shared a still of the pair in the 2005 film, captioned: “Rest in peace sweet Michelle.”
“Our first Nick movie star has departed us!! She was my friend and now she rests!! Check on your people!!!” Kenan Thompson captioned a clip of his and Trachtenberg’s time on Nickelodeon.
Paraphrasing Buffy’s last words to Michelle’s character Dawn in season 5 of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” series star Sarah Michelle Gellar paid tribute to her on-screen younger sister.
“‘Michelle, listen to me. Listen. I love you. I will always love you. The hardest thing in this world, is to live in it. I will be brave. I will live… for you,’” Gellar, 47, captioned an Instagram carousel of the actresses through the years.
“Buffy” co-stars Alyson Hannigan remembered the “loving energy” Trachtenberg brought to the set, while David Boreanaz sent “RIP and prayers to her and her family.”
“Buffy” co-star James Marsters remembered Trachtenberg as “a beautiful soul” as well as “fiercely intelligent, howlingly funny, and a very talented person.” He said that Trachtenberg “leaves behind scores of people who knew and loved her. … Godspeed Michelle. You are missed.”
Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, the creators of “Gossip Girl,” said they were “deeply saddened” and remembered the “so funny, kind and talented” Trachtenberg in a joint statement to USA Today.
Melissa Gilbert, who acted with Trachtenberg in 1996’s made-for-TV “A Holiday for Love,” said her “heart aches for your family and all those who loved you so…”
Rosie O’Donnell remarked on the “heartbreaking” death of Trachtenberg, with whom shared the screen in the latter’s 1996 breakout, “Harriet the Spy.”
“I loved her very much,” O’Donnell, 62, continued in a statement to Us Weekly. “She struggled the last few years. I wish I could have helped.”
Trachtenberg’s mother found her unresponsive at 8 a.m. Wednesday at her luxury apartment near Columbus Circle. She was declared dead at the scene.
It’s believed that Trachtenberg may have suffered complications related to a recent liver transplant, sources told ABC News.
