As an abundance of caution, Cedar Park Middle School and Cedar Park High School were both placed on lockdown.
AUSTIN, Texas — Officers with the Cedar Park Police Department responded to a reported bank robbery Friday afternoon.
The incident occurred at the Chase Bank located on Cypress Creek Road. The bank, as well as a number of other businesses nearby, were then evacuated due to a suspicious item being located in the vicinity.
As a precaution, both Cedar Park Middle School and Cedar Park High School were placed on lockdown. Police have not reported any threats being made toward either school.
