A 39-year-old man was killed early Saturday when a gunman opened fire into a Manhattan bar, officials said.
The victim was inside Tom & Jerry’s on Elizabeth St. near E. Houston St. in NoHo about 3:20 a.m. when the gunman, who was outside on the street, started shooting into the establishment, police said.
The gunman shot the victim twice in the chest and once in the stomach before running off.
It was not immediately clear if the gunman was aiming at the victim when he opened fire.
EMS rushed the victim to Bellevue Hospital, but he couldn’t be saved. The man’s name wasn’t immediately disclosed as cops track down family members.
The gunman, described as Hispanic and wearing a grey hoodie, dark pants and white shoes, ran off down E. Houston St.
No arrests have been made.
A motive for the shooting wasn’t immediately available as police investigate.
