(Gray News) – Singer Angie Stone, former member of the female hip-hop trio the Sequence, has died in a car crash, according to several reports.
She was 63.
Variety reported Stone’s death on Saturday. According to their report, a representative confirmed Stone was leaving a show when the vehicle she was in overturned. TMZ first reported the singer’s death and said Stone was leaving a performance in Montgomery, Alabama.

The representative reported that others, including Stone’s band members and backup dancers, were in the vehicle at the time of the crash. Variety said other injuries were reported but no further details were provided.
Stone was best known for her 2001 hit, “Wish I Didn’t Miss You.” During her career, she was nominated for three Grammys, including best R&B performance by a duo or group with vocals and best female R&B performance.
