AUSTIN, Texas — A suspect is in custody after the Austin Police Department’s (APD) SWAT team responded to a call of a barricaded subject in northwest Austin on Sunday afternoon.
According to APD, the situation started in the 9000 block of Frostwood Trail. Police received a 911 call shortly after 3 p.m. regarding a domestic disturbance.
In an update at 4:25 p.m., APD said a suspect had peacefully surrendered and was taken into custody.
Police believe this was an isolated incident with no further threat to the public.
