The Texas A&M Fire Service reports about 100 acres are burning at this time as the fire moves east.

BLANCO COUNTY, Texas — Crews are battling a large wildfire west of Johnson City.

The Blanco County Sheriff’s Office reported the large fire near Klett Ranch Road around 4 p.m. Tuesday before crews were able to stop the fire’s progress.

So far, the Texas A&M Forest Service reports about 100 acres are burning as the fire moves east toward the Pedernales River. None of the fire has been contained at this time.

Johnson City police and the sheriff’s office said there are no evacuations at this time, but asked residents to prepare in case the situation changes.
