HOUSTON — It was an eventful opening day at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.
A cow got loose at RodeoHouston and was spotted running away from the rodeo grounds at NRG Stadium.
The Houston Police Officers’ Union posted video showing the cow running away from the gates.
A man was seen chasing the steer and got close enough to reach the lead rope, but as he did, he tripped and fell.
According to the HPOU, the cow was last spotted running northbound toward Old Spanish Trail.
The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo said the cow got loose at 7 a.m. Tuesday. She was quickly corralled.
